For more than ten years the pan-European design collective Underware has been creating versatile fonts, surfing the waves, conducting type workshops, running the radio station Typeradio. The company was founded in 1999 by Akiem Helmling, Bas Jacobs and Sami Kortemäki, based in Den Haag, Helsinki and Amsterdam.
What Makes a Good Design Good?
Here a question I think will get us talking. What makes a good Design good and a Design bad? Is it the layout, the use of type, the designer? Who decides when it’s a great design? And what makes a bad design is it the same thing or something different?
