This name was given to me to look at in relation to my ‘ilmito exhibition’ post. Chuck Close is an American painter/photographer; he has a unique visual style. He mixes bright vibrant colours which are in turn merged with fleshy tones to create a slightly surreal effect.

These pieces are just amazing. I love how you don’t get it straight away. It reminds me of the pixel project we did. I particularly love the first piece, but I think that is because it took me a wee second to realise what it was. Gorgeous work. Great find.
