This is the recently released Fifa World Cup logo that will be held in South Africa from 2010.

The logo itself is an African map, with the stripes of the South African flag (blue, green, red, yellow, black, and white) blowing across it like the wind, and a player doing a magnificent scissor kick. Below, in the lower right corner, is written “FIFA World Cup — South Africa 2010.”

I think the logos works really well and think that it just looks very African festival like. Any thoughts??South-Africa-2010-World-Cup-logo

Really love this post glen. I think as a whole it works really well. Some may just see it as a logo but if you deeper you can see the African Map that you have mentioned. Even the choice of type has that african feel. Take a look at the last world cup branding from the German event. Compare it and you can really see how the designer has really thought about incoporating an AFRICAN FEEL :)
